- Format: group trial lesson (max. 3 people)
- Cost: €15
- The course itself: starts in September 2026. The final schedule will be determined based on participants’ availability. Lessons take place at our studio and follow the school calendar, holidays included.
Vocal technique LAB. Singing lessons in Utrecht
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced singer, our vocal coaching singing lessons are designed to help you sing with more freedom, strength, and confidence.
Who It’s For
The Vocal Technique LAB is organised in two groups to bring people of comparable levels together. But it is open to all, no prior singing experience is required. The only thing you need is curiosity and the motivation to explore your voice.
What You’ll Learn
In these group classes (max. 3 students), you’ll explore:
- Healthy vocal habits: posture, breath & body awareness
- Resonance and tone production
- Strengthening lower and upper registers
- Navigating the vocal break smoothly
- Developing agility for riffs, runs & flexibility
- Vowel modification for better clarity and sound
Isabella Calmet
Isabella Calmet is a Peruvian singer, composer and multidisciplinary artist based in the Netherlands. She studied orchestral composition in Peru, Japanese traditional music at Kyoto City University of Arts, and graduated Cum Laude from the Master’s in Creative Performance and Composition at Fontys Academy of the Arts.
Her singing lessons combine healthy vocal technique, musical interpretation and creative expression. With a warm, playful approach, Isabella helps students explore their unique voice, build confidence and enjoy singing.
How the Lessons Work
Each session begins with warm-ups focusing on breath, alignment, and tone. You’ll practice through scales, call-and-response exercises, and short individual coaching moments with direct feedback.
We’ll also listen to examples of great singers, analyze their phrasing, resonance, and tone, and apply those techniques to our own voices.
Throughout the course, you’ll take part in in-class recitals: prepare a song, perform it in a masterclass-style setting, and receive supportive feedback from both the teacher and your peers.

All sessions are in English, making it easy for both local and international participants in Utrecht.
Not at all! This course is designed for anyone who wants to improve their singing, whether you’re just starting out or already performing.
We keep groups small (max 3 students) so everyone gets individual coaching and space to grow.
That’s completely normal. The group is small and supportive, and the teacher creates a safe space where everyone grows at their own pace.
