Anna Dalavagka, piano teacher and our synthesiser wizard
As a pianist and teacher, my goal is to explore the diverse roles of the piano and keyboards in different settings—from deep bass to high pitches, acoustic to electronic, and classical to modern genres. I aim to pass on my passion for music to my students, whether it’s interpreting classical works, improvising pop, or experimenting with soundscapes.
In lessons, we’ll cover techniques that simplify playing, music theory, various genres, and improvisation. Together, we’ll choose pieces that fit you, recommend music to listen to, and train your ear to play by ear. We’ll also organize group lessons and music evenings to connect and share our progress. I came from a small family in Surabaya, Indonesia and since I was 4 years old, piano has been my companion in every season of my life. Whenever I got a bad grades at school, my mom was being annoying, or when I got my new girlfriend – music has been the way to express myself. Sometimes I am lazy like a panda, and other days I am highly motivated like Cristiano Ronaldo. We simply can’t separate music from life.
Therefore, my goal is to help you to discover yourself and find joy in playing the piano! Don’t let those 88 keys scare you. Along with Bom-B music’s vision, we will take small steps (or perhaps, big ones) and just before you know it, you will be able to do things that you could not do before.
Ayla Losada, the adaptive piano teacher in Utrecht
The piano was the first instrument with which I began my musical journey and thanks to that choice I have been able to acquire a complete vision of what music means. Together with the cello, the piano became my life partner and part of my daily life. I studied piano and cello at the Bilbao Conservatory in Spain. After that, I moved to the Netherlands to study my second master’s degree at HKU Utrecht Conservatory. I continued improving my piano skills and I am an active player and teacher of both instruments at the moment.
