PIANO EDUCATOR | PERFORMER
Meet Joshua, the piano teacher who challenges the status quo
Joshua’s musical journey began at the age of 4 in Surabaya, Indonesia, where his parents noticed his natural talent for piano. With their support, he pursued competitions across Southeast Asia, winning awards in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. In 2019, Joshua moved to the Netherlands to study classical piano under the guidance of Henry Kelder and has since made a name for himself with his remarkable performances. Now, Joshua continues his master studies at Utrecht Conservatorium.
"I came from a small family in Surabaya, Indonesia and since I was 4 years old, piano has been my companion in every season of my life. Whenever I got bad grades at school, my mom was being annoying, or when I got my new girlfriend – music has been the way to express myself. Sometimes I am lazy like a panda, and other days I am highly motivated like Cristiano Ronaldo. We simply can’t separate music from life."

Unlock your musical potential with Joshua’s guidance
Joshua’s teaching philosophy goes beyond technical mastery. He believes that music and life are inseparable, and his goal is to help students find joy and self-expression through piano. He encourages you to embrace the piano as an outlet for creativity and growth.
At Bom-B Music, Joshua’s focus is on helping students discover their own voice through music, regardless of their level. He works alongside students to take small steps toward big accomplishments, ensuring they feel confident and comfortable as they grow. His passion is not only to teach but also to inspire.
"Therefore, my goal is to help you to discover yourself and find joy in playing the piano! Don’t let those 88 keys scare you. Along with Bom-B music’s vision, we will take small steps (or perhaps, big ones) and just before you know it, you will be able to do things that you could not do before."
